Hydrotherapy Experience at Ace Water Spa

Thank you for checking out my post. Please visit my new blog https://letsgoady.com/travel/. I am posting there every week about my recent travels and lifestyle. Thank you. XOXO -ady

Are you a fan of massage spas but don’t want the sticky oil on it? Do you also love to splurge and have fun on the water? You can actually get the relaxation of spa while beating the summer heat at the same time!

It’s a Friday afternoon when I've decided to search for a near weekend Metro getaway, when suddenly I've realized that I've been eyeing to go to this establishment before that offers Hydrotherapy massage.

Ace Water Spa, which has 2 branches, one is in Quezon City and the newest branch is at Pasig City by which offers 25 massages pool that uses Ultrasonic Jet System which targets specific areas of the body to lighten up and relax the muscles.

We've chose the Quezon City branch since it’s a bit accessible to us though a bit far since we are coming from the South.

The cashier counter can be easily found since it’s already in the entrance. Staffs are attentive to entertain you. We've paid 550 as entrance fee. They actually offer promo because they celebrating their anniversary that time. The promo costs 800 pesos that comes up with Entrance with buffet dinner and loot bags. We got the regular rate since we originally planned not to eat there.

The front desk personnel will ask you if you have proper attire, since it is required to wear a fitted swimwear preferably spandex material. Board shorts are not allowed so you can assure that you will get the spa’s maximum health benefits since you will feel the massage directly because there are no space between the swim wear and your body. If you forget to bring a towel, no need to worry, since they offer Rental Towel which costs 150 pesos. A bit pricey so it is recommended to bring one to lessen the expense.

After paying for the entrance fee, the front desk told us to proceed to second floor since the entrance to the spa is located there. The facade of the entrance is a bit confusing since it just looks like a Comfort room or a Changing area. But this area is actually a passage from the Changing area to the main pool itself. Upon entering, you need to sign up on their guest lists and give the ticket or receipt given on the reception area. You may also claim your rented towel here.

The facility provides a locker where you can put your belongings. You must bring along the key on your wrists as this have an equivalent replacement fee once lost. They don’t allowed taking pictures inside the locker room and the facility itself as to provide privacy to their customer. But i was able to sneak one, I guess the locker’s picture do not violate their customer’s privacy. One problem that I've experienced here is their key holder is a bit inconvenient. Supposedly, it should be placed on your wrists to avoid lost. But the key holder given to me can just accommodate in my 3 fingers. Take note that I have tiny hands.

Upon changing of clothes I then proceed to the changing area’s exit or the main pools entrance. Before entering the main pool you may get their red swim cap but are requested to leave it before leaving the spa’s premises.

For the span of four hours, you can enjoy their 25 hydro pools, a lap pool, hot Herbal and cold Pool and Sauna and Steam. You can also use their second floor to take a short nap. Free mineral water (in a dispenser) is also placed on the establishment to avoid dehydration.

Their hydro pools are actually equipped with a one push-of-a-button system, giving their customer the freedom to choose which water equipment to use. The equipments are also categorized by Soft, Moderate and Hard massages. Better to read the instruction first if you are curious of the target benefits and its suggested time of use.

I personally love their Hot Herbal Pool. There are actually 3 types of Hot Herbal pool there which ranges from degree of temperature. The green coloured one is Mint Tea Pool; it is the least hot of the 3 which is only 36 degrees. The second hoot pool is the Jasmine Pool (38 degrees – Violet in Color) and the hottest among them is the orange coloured pool that comes up with 40 degrees in temperature. After dripping in their hot herbal pool it is recommended to plunge on their cold pool. The process is called Contrast Therapy Plunge. It allows your body to open your pores and release toxins while stimulating blood flow to the core of the body while tightening the pores. The cold pool is actually shivering.

We've decided to end the hydro fun after 3 hours since I’m already starving. The spa also offers their own Ace Coffee Lounge where you can fill in your hungry tummies.
