Splash Island, Part 1: Attractions and What to See

Thank you for checking out my post. Please visit my new blog https://letsgoady.com/travel/. I am posting there every week about my recent travels and lifestyle. I also have recent posts regarding splash island - kindly check it out - https://letsgoady.com/2017/07/02/splash-island-waterpark-resort-near-metro/. Thank you. XOXO -ady

It’s a Friday afternoon when I've decided to search for a near Metro getaway. I've searched on the net and landed on a Discount Voucher site, well this kind of site is some kind of marketing strategy that lets you get the item or a service for a certain price off. Honestly, if you’re really plan to go or have a specific place or service then having this discount is a total win on your side.

And then, I've found that Splash Island offers a 50% off plus a Lunch voucher. Normal fee is 500 and we get it for 250 each! :)

Splash Island is a water park in Binan Laguna. It is just an hour or two drive away from Manila. The resort is open from Monday to Sunday 8am to 6pm but subject to change during off-peak seasons.

As we reached the entrance, we are welcomed with a long line of people waiting on the entrance. Daaang! They are students and faculty members having their Educational Trip that day! Whhhy now? There is a different entrance for the regular fee customers and with those who have discount vouchers. Luckily there is no queue for the voucher lane that time!

Group of performer preparing their things while there are still less people inside the park.

We hurriedly go inside and change our outfits. I would recommend that you rent a locker which is beside the Changing room area. The fee is around 100 pesos for the whole day.

Also, make sure that you planned out the attractions or activities that you are planning to make since most of the slides do have different opening and closing schedule. And get a copy of their map for a smooth plan.

Here's the attraction that we've accomplished that day:

Balsa River (8:00am – 5:00p)  is just like a lazy river which water is gently flowing like a river. The inflated rubber ‘balsa’ are scattered around the mini river so you could just take one, sit back and relax while observing the other big slides. Well, from my experience this is a bit crowded with lots of teenagers shouting all over the time. I guess that’s the down side of having a getaway and others having their field trip at the same time. J

Agos Grande (9:00am-10:30am; 1:30pm - 2:30pm; 4:30pm - 5:00pm) is a big open pool. During the given schedule, a generated wave was produced by a machine. I’ve actually enjoyed this part of the resort especially when they turned on the waves. Downside is it’s also crowded though the shout and joy of the people is contagious this time.

Water Wahoo (9:00am - 12:00pm; 2:00pm - 5:00pm) is like a playground in a pool. The pool is just around 2 feet. Good for kids and kids at heart. Well, the fountain like splash in this pool is so hard to resist. Or is it just me? J
