Loboc River Cruise

Thank you for checking out my post. Please visit my new blog https://letsgoady.com/travel/. I am posting there every week about my recent travels and lifestyle. Thank you. XOXO -ady

Have you tried having a cruise with Nature? Or sailing while being serenade? Or eating your lunch on a floating resto? If not, then you might wanna try Loboc River Cruise.

Before heading to the cruise, our tour guide asked us if we want to choose the Downstream or Upstream River Cruise. He said that downstream view is more on Nature while the Upstream is cruising with their local performing some native arts.

We've chose the first option!

Before going on board you need to pay to the cashier first.

The path ways to the boat is great; it’s a port with bamboo handrails on the side. Upon boarding the boat, you’ll see an array of tables and chairs waiting for their hungry customers. At the center is a long table made of wood and where the food is placed.

The boat also has one comfort room and a sink where you can wash your hands. The food that day is OK. I mean not what I expected like a sea food type of dishes, but this will somehow ease your starving stomach. The restaurant offers variety of dished vary from Fish, Vegetable, Mini Seafood, Meat, Soup, Rice, Fruits to Local Delicacy.

After finishing the meal, the boat is now ready to go. A local singer started singing with their own Bohol Song Piece.

At first, the journey is a bit tedious. There’s nothing else you can see outside but a pile of AnahawLeaves. But then we had our first and only stop – Ati Tribe.

The island presents their locals doing some performance like spitting or blowing up some fire from their mouth, children holding some “bayawak” or monitor lizard, showcasing their handcrafted hats made out of dried leaves and many more. Well, their performance provides a bit entertainment for their visitors. Before leaving their stalls don’t forget to leave a tip. I believe it’s not required but it does somehow give them credit for their effort of amusement.

As we go back to the port where we started, Kuya Singer started to sing some internationally known songs like Anak and a Korean local song that makes the crowd sing out loud happily. I hope they've started and ended the cruise with that type of songs so that those people aboard would feel the hype from beginning to the end.
